Job Title: Wireman & PAT Tester - Cables & Mains Department

Location: Brooklands, Weybridge (KT13)

Position Type: Permanent/Fulltime 35 hours per week, 5 in 7 days

Salary: From £27,744 depending on experience

We are seeking an additional experienced Wireman & PAT Tester to join our Cables & Mains Department in our modern Warehouse.

What will you do?

• Repairing and making different types of cables, mainly audio and power cables.
• Inspection, soldering, testing, troubleshooting, and fault finding • PAT testing electrical equipment such as cables, distros, transformers
• Ensuring all equipment complies with specification and is fit for purpose
• Maintain and exceed targets and efficiency
• Work well under pressure
• Maintain Health & Safety to HSE and company standards
• De-prep and test distros, transformers, FOH snakes
• Barcoding and adding new cables to inventory

Who we are looking for

• You will be confident with inspection and testing of electrical equipment
• A competent PAT tester with real-life hands-on experience
• Proficient soldering skills
• City & Guilds 2377 Portable appliance testing qualification or equivalent
• Qualified Electrician (desirable but not essential)
• Good attention to detail
• You will have strong written and verbal communication skills
• A team player but with the ability to work independently
• You must thrive under pressure, and be available to work some extended hours and weekends during our busy periods

* Our operating hours are 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday. Standard working hours are 35 hours per week, 10am to 6pm, five out of seven days, Monday to Sunday with an unpaid break of 60 minutes. You may be required to work a reasonable amount of paid overtime.
