We are growing our Comms and Data Services team and we now have an exciting opportunity to become a Junior Warehouse Technician within our Comms and Data Services Department.

We’re looking for a motivated and technically minded individual to join our team. This role is open to recent graduates and early-career professionals, as well as those with relevant experience.

Based at our Brooklands facility in Weybridge, the Comms and Data Services Warehouse Technician will report directly to the Head of Comms and Data Services.

What will you do?

You will be involved in all aspects of the comms, and data equipment deployments. This includes managing, testing & maintaining all the relevant equipment which includes radio equipment, analogue and digital wired and wireless communication equipment, and data infrastructure equipment. In addition, you will be part of the international licensing team.

The main job tasks will be:

  • Building and deployment of Comms and IT systems to the highest standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the Operations Department, other team members within the department as well as Prep/de-prep Dept and the Warehouse Manager regarding the preparation of equipment, specific requirements for each job and deadlines to achieve the above.
  • Being responsible for testing, fault-finding, servicing, maintenance, cleaning and quality control of equipment
  • Being responsible for the regular PAT testing of all equipment
  • Supplying technical support to warehouse staff, apprentices, and freelance crew (in the warehouse and remotely)
  • Licensing RF equipment in the UK and internationally
  • Keep efficient information management in terms of licensing, code-plugs and other programming aspects
  • Collaborate and share knowledge with the RF department
  • To communicate effectively and work with other team members in the warehouse
  • Complete admin tasks along with technical needs including understanding and using the company IT systems
  • Any other work deemed necessary for the smooth running of the department

What will you learn in this role?

This is an entry level warehouse position. All necessary skills will be gradually taught whilst working in the Comms and Data Service department. Specifically:

  • IT skills including networking, and deployment of data infrastructure systems.
  • Radio comms: Analogue and digital walkie talkies, DMR Tier 3 in Motorola, Hytera.
  • Intercom (2 wire, Clear-Com Helixnet and FreeSpeak, Riedel Artist and Bolero, and RTS AZ Edit)
  • Gain experience working specifically in radio comms, networking, matrix intercom.

*Our operating hours are 8am to 8pm Monday to Sunday. Standard working hours are 35 hours per week, 10am to 6pm, five out of seven days, Monday to Sunday with an unpaid break of 60 minutes. You may be required to work a reasonable amount of paid overtime.
