Warehouse Technician – Digital Department

Due to our continued expansion, we are now looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Digital and Analogue Department as Warehouse Technician.

Britannia Row Productions (BRP) is a World Class Audio rental company providing innovative and high end audio equipment, skilled audio engineers and technicians for global music tours and events, including sports and corporates events. The warehouse technician must be highly organised, a great communicator and able to swiftly build strong working relationships. She/he will need to quickly develop a good understanding of the needs of both local and worldwide clients.

With a background in live sound, it is essential that you will need to have knowledge and experience of setting up complex design using the highest end live digital audio mixing consoles, ancillary digital equipment and networks, analogue equipment, wireless microphone and individual monitoring systems. Some of the brands used like DiGiCo SD series, SSL Live, Yamaha, Avid, LM’s processors, Shure and Sennheiser.

The main job responsibilities are:

  • Liaise with the Digital Technician to ensure a “right first time” process is achieved
  • Responsible for Prepping digital and analogue equipment to a high departmental standard prior to use on jobs, including:
    • Testing, fault finding and evaluating digital equipment to ensure all equipment is fit for purpose
    • Maintenance, cleaning and repair of all department equipment
  • Responsible for De prepping digital and analogue equipment after use on jobs, including;
    • Testing, fault finding and evaluating digital equipment to ensure all equipment is returned to storage in good working order
    • Maintenance, cleaning and repair of all department equipment
  • Supplying technical support to Warehouse Staff and freelance crew
  • Managing and training staff working in the department to contribute to their professional development and monitoring their progress
  • Provide cover for the department when necessary

Our ideal candidate:

  • Will possess a minimum of three years’ experience with professional live audio equipment.
  • Will have a keen interest in gaining experience in the technical and operational side of the professional audio industry.
  • Will preferably (but not necessarily) have a degree in Electronics, Engineering, Information Technologies or related fields

You will need to be a confident in your abilities, be reliable, and possess a logical and systematic approach to work whilst meeting strict deadlines. Strong tenacity and problem solving skills and willingness to accept responsibility are essential.

Great IT skills and the appetite to become competent with in-house systems is a must together with a strong command of both verbal and written English.
