Electric Daisy Carnival is one of the biggest electronic dance music festivals in the world. The UK franchise of the EDC Festival returned to its home at the Milton Keynes Bowl on Saturday 9th July for a sell out day of music, rides, art, dancers, stilters, aerialists and circus performers - an all round multi-sensory festival which attracted a crowd of over 55,000 EDM lovers.
With its four stages, the festival this year welcomed EDM stars Axwell & Igrosso along with fellow compatriot Avicii.
Other stars of the electronic music world included Eric Prydz and a wealth of international artists such as Drum & Bass artists Andy C and Goldie with new school drum & bass duo Sigma also on the bill. German Trance producer and DJ Paul Van Dyk also joined the party.
For the forth consecutive year Britannia Row supplied audio services to the Electric Daisy Carnival, providing a mix of L Acoustics K1 on the main hangs and K2 on the side hangs. L Acoustics Kara were used on front fills and the subs were the new L Acoustics KS28's. Digico SD8 and SD11 desks were provided for FOH and Monitors on the main stage. Equipment that combined with an expert team of Britannia Row tech's and engineers, once again made the festival this year the enormous success that it is.
Looking after the equipment specification for Britannia Row for all four stages was Britannia Row's Lez Dwight "We were especially proud to unleash our new L Acoustic KS28 subs and amps on the main stage. Touted as B22 killers….they performed amazingly well.I have never heard sub bass like this, smooth even coverage where ever you were in the bowl. The amount of air these new subs move is staggering. Super low lows and musical to boot. Our Crew did a great job on all stages…. 40 acts in 12 hours. Fantastic!"
