The beginning of our summer was marked with providing sound for much of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations over the first weekend in June. It doesn't seem like ten years since we provided the sound for the ‘Proms at the Palace’ and ‘Party at the Palace’ concerts for her Golden Jubilee Celebrations. To add to the excitement this time, we moved to our new building over the same weekend!

Our scope of work for the Celebrations included providing the audio equipment, sound engineers and technicians for the Jubilee Concert at The Queen Victoria Monument in front of Buckingham Palace.

The concert featuring Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, Sir Cliff Richard, Stevie Wonder, Robbie Williams, Jessie J and fourteen other international artists, many of whom performed alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra, was broadcast worldwide by the BBC. We provided relayed sound into Green Park, St James’ Park, Trafalgar Square and Hyde Park where we also did the Family Fun Day Festivals over the same weekend. The set-up was used for many other celebrations over the weekend including the Thanksgiving Service from St Paul’s Cathedral and The Carriage Parade from Mansion House to Buckingham Palace.

And, so began what is going to be a busy summer.

Over the same weekend we were in Israel for the massive ten day Opera Festival in the Dead Sea at Masada and we were on tour with Tenacious D, Beady Eye, Simple Minds, Lynard Skynard, The Cure, DJ Fresh, Kasabian, Limp Bizkit, and Sound Garden. We also loaded out two systems for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds for the start of their heavy summer schedule.

Along with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Simple Minds, The Cure, DJ Fresh, and Kasabian we continue to tour throughout the summer...

After the Hard Rock Festival we stay in Hyde Park from the Olympics Opening Concert through to the Closing Concert with televised relay of the sporting action and entertainment every night.

We are also fielding 20 P.A. systems for a certain sporting event being held in the UK over the period.
